Tim and Ted Littel started their limo rental business with just one stretch limo that was too large to fit into their parents' garage. Interestingly enough, the Littel's business benefited from their involvement with a pair of pro wrestlers. The first limo that Ted bought to start his limo rental service was formerly owned by Terry "Hulk" Hogan. Ted and his mother, Shirley bought the used limo for $19,000. In the meantime, Tim Littel was working as an intern in the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, but when former pro wrestler Jesse "The Body" Ventura became the governor, Tim's department changed in ways he didn't like, so he decided to join his brother's new limo rental business. And White Knight was off and running. After more than a decade, White Knight's fleet of vehicles has grown to more than 30 buses, limos, and sedans and boasts a customer list that includes David Lee Roth, and TV's Dr. Phil. White Knight's limo rental business includes buses that are used to transport athletes from the University of Missouri-Columbia Athletic Department. It was a bold move to go from a simple limo rental company to renting buses, one that other limo rental companies would be wise to emulate. After all, it's worked out well for the Littel's White Knight company.
