If you're headed to the San Francisco Bay area in the near future, you'd do well to consider your travel options once you get to the city. It can get expensive taking taxis everywhere in San Francisco, but fortunately, San Francisco has plenty of other travel options. Among them, you should consider the bus system and the BART system, one of the best and most modern such systems in the US. Of course, you can always rent a limo, but be cautious about what you line up for your ride. Because of geography, and some narrow, winding streets, you're probably better off not renting a Hummer limo. When you're renting a limo, be content with a regular sedan or a town car. If you're traveling with others, go ahead and splurge on a limo rental. By pooling your transportation money, you'll probably wind up having a much more relaxing, and easy visit than if you're chained to the bus or subway schedules, plus renting a limo also gives you door-to-door service, and that's hard to beat.
